UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Big Ten Conference announced the 2020-21 men's soccer schedule Tuesday evening, which includes 10 conference-only games for each institution. Penn State will face each team once, with home-and-away matches against Maryland and Rutgers.
"We are incredibly excited to announce our spring 2021 schedule," said head coach Jeff Cook. "We cannot wait to get back to competitive play and we very much look forward to the opportunity to represent Penn State once again. I feel that the Big Ten is one of the strongest men's soccer conferences in the country. The upcoming spring schedule will provide our student-athletes with exciting games to work towards as we prepare for this season. We'd like to express our appreciation to the Big Ten Conference office and to the Penn State athletic administration for making this spring season a reality."
Penn State will begin the season at home against Maryland on Friday, Feb. 19. The Nittany Lions will then travel to Rutgers for their first road match on Tuesday, Feb. 23. The month of February concludes with another home game against Michigan State on Saturday, Feb. 27.
The Nittany Lions open March with two-straight road trips starting at Michigan on Wednesday, March 3 and continuing at Indiana on Sunday, March 7.
Penn State returns home to face Rutgers on Monday, March 15. The Nittany Lions will then travel to Northwestern on Friday, March 19.
The regular-season schedule will conclude with two-straight home games against Ohio State on Tuesday, March 23 and Wisconsin on Saturday, March 27 before wrapping up on the road at Maryland on Wednesday, March 31.
All dates are subject to change. Start times and potential broadcast designations will be announced at a later date.
Under current Big Ten guidance, the general public, beyond student-athletes' families, will not be permitted for 2020-21 Penn State men's soccer home games.
