THE MATCHUP
Penn State leads the all-time series 17-2 over Sacred Heart. Their lone match of the 2020 season came down to the wire, as the Pioneers won the first two sets before Penn State made a furious comeback to win 3-2 in a reverse sweep.
Cal Fisher had a career-best 23 kills while adding 10 digs and five aces in the match for Penn State.
FISH MAKING IT HAPPEN
Fisher ripped seven service aces in Penn State's 3-1 win over NJIT Feb. 13, the second-most aces in a match this season by any player in the nation.
When Fisher has at least 10 kills in a match in 2021, Penn State is 6-0.
FRESHMAN DUO
Penn State's freshman outside hitter duo of Michael Valenzi and Michal Kowal both had great matches Feb. 13 against NJIT. Kowal had a team-high 14 kills hitting .571 and Valenzi added nine kills and six digs. Both combined for .974 serve receive in that match (38-39).
