WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Penn State men's and women's diving team concluded their second day of events at the 2021 Big Ten Championships this evening at Purdue in the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center.
Day Two Top Dives
Junior Sierra Shurts led the Nittany Lions on day two with a 15th overall and seventh-place finish in the consolation (B) finals of the women's platform (203.25).
Senior Bryce Hoch highlighted the men's 3-meter with a final score of 283.95 in the event. Following narrowly behind him was junior Jonah Cey whose efforts earned him 281.45.
Sophomore Wei Wei also competed in the platform event with a final score of 140.85.
Sophomore Kevin Sullivan and junior Logan Krabbe also represented the Nittany Lions in the 3-meter. They dove for 259.35 and 241.90, respectively.
Day One
On the first day of diving competition, Sophomore Kevin Sullivan led the Nittany Lions with a fifth-place finish in the 1-meter Consolation Finals. His score of 291.30 earned him 13th overall. Senior Bryce Hoch ended the day with a final score of 239.00 in the event.
In the women's 3-meter, junior Sierra Shurts was the top scorer for the Penn State women with a 260.20.
