Penn State Puts Four on Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-America Team

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Four Penn State players were named to the Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-America Team on Tuesday. Mac O'Keefe was a second-team selection, Nick Cardile made the third team, and Gerard Arceri and Jack Kelly were honorable mentions.

O'Keefe ranks seventh in NCAA history with 192 goals and needs just 20 to become the sport's all-time leader. He is a three-time All-American, earning second-team recognition in 2019 and 2020, as well as honorable mention in 2018. O'Keefe was the Big Ten Tournament MVP in 2019 while leading the Lions to their first title.

Cardile anchors a strong Penn State defense, starting 37 games over the past four seasons. The two-time All-American has totaled 77 ground balls and 43 caused turnovers in 52 games played.

Arceri  is one of the most prolific faceoff specialists in program history. The two-time third-team All-American ranks first all-time at Penn State and is sixth in NCAA history with 509 ground balls. He is also the program record holder with 779 faceoff wins.

Kelly, a do-it-all midfielder for the Lions, was a third-team All-American in 2019. He has totaled 70 points on 58 goals and 12 assists while adding 24 ground balls and two caused turnovers in 28 games played. He has started each of the team's past 22 games.

The Lions are 21-4 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the Big Ten over the past two seasons. They won the most recent Big Ten regular season and Big Ten Tournament titles in 2019.
