No. 9 Men's Volleyball Takes Short Trip To Saint Francis

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pennsylvania – The No. 9 Penn State men's volleyball teams takes a quick trip to Loretto to take on Saint Francis in a two-match series this weekend, March 12-13.

THE MATCHUP
Penn State leads the all-time series 47-3 over SFU. The Nittany Lions won the first series against the Red Flash at home Feb. 4 and 6 (3-0 and 3-2).
 
NINER NINER
The Nittany Lions cracked the top 10 in this week's AVCA poll tied for No. 9, its highest ranking this season and 17th-straight week in the poll. PSU also ranked 9th in the Off the Block media poll.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Nittany Lions extended its winning streak to six in a row after two 3-0 wins over Charleston last weekend at Rec Hall. PSU's first win last Friday in the South Gym was dominated by the team's service game with seven aces while not allowing the Golden Eagles to ace a serve.
 
Brett Wildman had four aces in one service run in the second set and finished with a team-best 14.5 points.
 
In match two, Penn State's pin hitters came up big with Wildman putting down 10 kills without an error for a career-best .667 hitting percentage while Cal Fisher added 11 kills and four aces in a second 3-0 win.
