Men's and Women's Diving Finish Their NCAA Zone A Championship Run

Greensboro N.C. - Penn State men's and women's diving concluded their NCAA Zone A Diving Championships run at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.


Top Dives
Sophomore Kevin Sullivan punched his NCAA ticket in the 3-meter on day one of competition. He scored 252.5 during prelims and his finals score totaled 576.45, qualifying him for the Championships. In addition, he will be representing the Nittany Lions in the 1-meter. He earned an eighth-place finish in the event at Zones with a final score of 519.30. 

Senior Bryce Hoch finished his college career making it to finals in both the 1-meter and 3-meter. He dove for fourth in the 1-meter, totaling 547.10, and eighth in the 3-meter with a score of 535.95. 

Junior Sierra Shurts led the women in all three events, qualifying for the finals in the 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform events. She dove for eighth in both the 3-meter (539.55) and platform (421.45), and 12th in the 1-meter with a final score of 490.00. 

Sophomore Wei Wei qualified for finals in the 1-meter (473.50) and platform events (345.70). She also competed in the 3-meter preliminary event, scoring 218.60
