NITTANY LIONS ON A ROLL
Penn State enters the weekend tied for the second-longest active win streak at eight-straight games, tied with No. 1 Hawaii and trailing only DI Independent Daemen on a 10-match win streak dating back to last season.

The Nittany Lions swept No. 11 NJIT twice in Newark last weekend, snapping the Highlanders' nine-match win streak and leaping back into first place in the EIVA standings.

YOU GET AN AWARD AND YOU GET AN AWARD…
Penn State had three different individuals win both conference and national awards for their performances last weekend.

Cal Fisher was named AVCA National Player of the Week and EIVA Defensive Player of the Week after a 10-kill, career-best 19-dig double-double last Friday. He had 23 kills and 27 digs for the weekend to power PSU to its back-to-back 3-0 wins.

Cole Bogner was tabbed EIVA Offensive Player of the Week after his 71 assists paced Penn State to a .314 team hitting percentage for the weekend. The Nittany Lions have hit above .325 in five of their last six matches and Bogner has least 30 assists in 12 of 16 matches.

Michael Valenzi was chosen Off the Block National Freshman of the Week after scoring 25 kills and hitting .413 for the weekend, including a team-best 15 kills in last Friday's win.

ABOUT TO MAKE HISTORY
Head Coach Mark Pavlik currently has 598 career victories. With two more wins, Pavlik would become just the fifth men's volleyball coach ever to reach 600 wins, joining a legendary group with Al Scates (UCLA), Don Shondell (Ball State), Pete Hanson (Ohio State), and Patrick Dorywalski (Stevens).
