UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.— The Penn State women's tennis team will hit the road to take on Michigan (11-1, 11-0 B1G) on Friday at 3 p.m. and Michigan State (4-8, 4-7 B1G) on Sunday at 10 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Nittany Lions got back on track winning going 2-0 at home against Rutgers and Maryland.
Against Rutgers, Penn State took the doubles point with wins a No. 2 and 3 before Gabby O'Gorman (Gunnedah, N.S. Wales, Australia) and the freshmen trio of Karly Friedland (Hollywood, Fla.), Alexandra Nielsen (Vancouver, B.C., Canada), and Alina Lebedeva (Moscow, Russia) all earned singles victories to secure the 5-2 win over the Scarlet Knights.
The Nittany Lions looked dominant in the win over Maryland. Wins at No. 2 and 3 gave Penn State the early 1-0 advantage and Penn State never looked back. Singles wins from Frederikke Svarre (Copenhagen, Denmark), Friedland, Samantha Smith (Cary, N.C.), Nielsen, and Lebedeva helped earn the 6-1 victory over the Terrapins.
SCOUTING THE WOLVERINES
The Wolverines have extended their winning streak to 11 consecutive matches in conference play after opening up the season with a non-conference loss to #8 Duke, including a 5-2 win over the Nittany Lions in late February.
Michigan currently sits at #14 in the national rankings with a strong lineup from top to bottom. The Wolverines doubles pairing of #57 Chiara Lommer and Jaedan Brown remain undefeated on the season with a 6-0 record in dual matches. Michigan also has a well-rounded singles lineup with three ranked players in #38 Kari Miller, #105 Brown, and #115 Gala Mesochoritou. Miller has compiled a 7-3 record on the season while primarily playing at the No. 1 spot. Lommer has been a consistent force primarily playing at No. 2 and earning a 9-3 record on the season. Brown is currently leading the Wolverines in singles wins with a 10-1 record on the season while shifting back and forth between No. 4 and 5 in the lineup.
LOOKING INTO THE SPARTANS
The Spartans have been struggling recently losing seven of their last eight games with the sole win coming against Maryland. Penn State is 2-0 against Michigan State this season with a pair of 4-3 wins.
Michigan State has struggled to find consistency in doubles to this point in the season. Samantha Memije and Nicole Stephens currently lead the Spartans in doubles win with four on the year. In singles, Ayshe Can has been a standout performer pacing the Spartans with an 8-4 record.

After this weekend, the Nittany Lions will host the final two home matches of the season against Wisconsin on Apr. 9 and Minnesota on Apr. 11.
