ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Penn State men's soccer team (6-1-1, 6-1-1 Big Ten) earned the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Big Ten Tournament and will therefore host No. 7-seed Ohio State (3-5-1, 3-5-1 Big Ten) in the quarterfinals on Saturday, April 10 at Jeffrey Field, as announced by the conference office Sunday.
Kickoff will be at noon live on the Big Ten Network, the Nittany Lions' fourth nationally televised game of the season.
During the regular season, Penn State beat Ohio State, 1-0, at Jeffrey Field.
The Nittany Lions are a two-seed in the conference tournament for the second-straight season. They are 6-6-0 overall as the No. 2 seed, but a perfect 4-0-0 when playing the No. 7 seed in the tournament. Penn State is 5-3-0 against the Buckeyes in tournament play.
Earlier this season, the Big Ten coaches picked Penn State to finish third.
