Play Suspended During Second Round of Indiana Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Senior Megan McLean (Lebanon, N.J.) paced the Nittany Lions with a 2-over, 74, during the opening round and is currently even-par through 12 holes in her second round with play suspended due to darkness. The second round is set to resume at 8:15 a.m. tomorrow morning with the final round to follow.

"I felt confident today," McLean mentioned. "All parts of my game were strong; my ball striking was strong, and I made a few good putts. I'm excited to finish the round tomorrow."

Kent State is currently 10-under in the second round and 8-under for the tournament a full 10 strokes ahead of second-place Maryland at 2-over. Michigan (3-over), Michigan State (5-over) and Illinois (13-over) round out the top-five.

Penn State currently sits ninth in the 16-team field at 21-over and is 7-over in the second round with all players through at least 10 holes. Senior Olivia Zambruno (Mt. Pleasant, Pa.) has just three holes remaining in her second round where she currently sits 3-over for the round and 8-over for the championship after carding a 5-over, 77, in the first round.

With her strong opening day, McLean is currently tied for 12th in the 98-player field. Junior Sarah Willis (Eaton, Ohio) is tied for 38th after carding a 3-over, 75, in her opening round and she is currently 3-over through 11 holes in the second round.

Sophomore Mathilde Delavallade (Royan, France) sits tied for 41st at 7-over but is just 1-over through 13 holes in the second round and finished the day with back-to-back birdies heading into the clubhouse.

Freshman Victoria Tip-Aucha (Vienna, Va.) carded a 6-over, 78, in the opening round while junior Taylor Waller (Canonsburg, Pa.) fired a 4-over, 76, but both have struggled so far in the second round.
