Nittany Lions Match Up With Belmont Abbey to Begin NCAA Tournament

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's volleyball team received the No. 6 seed in and will face No. 7 Belmont Abbey College in the play-in match of the 2021 NCAA Tournament May 3 at Ohio State's Covelli Center in Columbus. The match is set to begin at 5 p.m.

The Nittany Lions (21-3) punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament with their 32nd EIVA Tournament championship victory achieved last Saturday, April 24, in its 3-1 win over George Mason on Penn State's home court in Rec Hall. This will also be Penn State's 32nd NCAA Tournament appearance and its first since 2017.

This will be the first-ever match against Belmont Abbey for Penn State, as the Crusaders won the Conference Carolinas tournament to reach their first NCAA Tournament.
