UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State field hockey player Bree Bednarski (Wyoming, Pa.) has been named to this year's All-Big Ten Tournament Team. Bednarksi's honor was announced after the conclusion of the Big Ten Tournament in Iowa City this past weekend.
Bednarski scored two of Penn State's three goals in a hard-fought 4-3 overtime loss to eventual finalist Ohio State in the team's first game at the tournament on Wednesday, April 21. She led Penn State in scoring with four points in the contest. Bednarski was also honored earlier this season as the Big Ten Offensive Player off the Week. She ends the season with 19 points off six goals and seven assists, second on the squad.
Penn State finished the campaign with a 7-7 overall record and ended the year with a 5-2 mark in Big Ten tallied conference games, placing second.
