KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Penn State men's soccer student-athletes Danny Bloyou and Pierre Reedy were tabbed as Third Team All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches Thursday evening. The two are the first pair of All-Americans for the Nittany Lions since 2010 when Matheus Braga and Corey Hertzog were second-team honorees.

Bloyou became a first-time All-American after earning first team All-North Region honors on Tuesday. The transfer from Philadelphia, Pa. finished the season with a team-high eight goals and two assists for a tied team-high 18 total points, all career bests. The forward had two multi-goal games, and averaged 0.62 goalsΒ  per game for second in the conference and 32nd nationally. His eight total goals ranked top 15 in the country (14).

Bloyou also earned National Player of the Week honors from College Soccer News (March 15-21) as well as two Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week nods (March 23, April 13) during his junior campaign.

Reedy also became a first-time All-American after earning first team All-North Region honors on Tuesday. The midfielder from Kutztown, Pa. finished the season with a career-high 14 points on a career-best five goals and four assists. His first goal of the season against Maryland on Feb. 19 was long overdue as his first goal since his true freshman season in 2016 after batting back from two season-ending knee injuries in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. As team co-captain, Reedy totaled 1,025 minutes on the pitch in the midfield.

Reedy's 14 total points stood top 50 nationally at 49th while his total goals and total assists were both top 70 at 63rd and 69th, respectively. He was also named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week on March 30.

Both Bloyou and Reedy were named All-Big Ten first-team honorees at the conclusion of the 2020-21 regular season.

In program history, Penn State men's soccer student-athletes have been honored 51 times as All-Americans. Bloyou and Reedy are the second and third All-Americans under head coach Jeff Cook and the sixth and seventh in Cook's tenure as a collegiate head coach.

Bloyou and Reedy follow former team captain Aaron Molloy as All-Americans after Molloy earned second team accolades in 2019. It marks the first time Penn State has All-Americans in back-to-back seasons since 2001-02.
