COLUMBUS, Ohio - Fresh off its 3-0 win in last night's NCAA Tournament opener, the seventh-ranked and sixth-seeded Penn State men's volleyball team gets right back to action Tuesday evening taking on the fourth-ranked and third-seeded MIVA conference champion Lewis Flyers in the Opening Round at Ohio State's Covelli Center.

HOW THEY GOT HERE
Penn State knocked off Belmont Abbey 3-0 in the first match of the 2021 NCAA tournament Monday evening thanks to a rally-scoring era tournament record 11 service aces. Brett Wildman tied his career high with four to go along with nine kills. Cal Fisher had 10 kills plus three aces and the Nittany Lions only had four hitting errors for the entire match on their way to a .509 team hitting percentage.
Lewis dominated the MIVA this season and won its conference tournament title 3-0 over Loyola Chicago. The Flyers are currently riding a nation-best 12 match win streak.
THE MATCHUP
The Nittany Lions and Flyers have had several great battles over their history. PSU leads the all-time series 22-15, including a thrilling reverse sweep victory in their latest match Jan. 18, 2020 at Lewis. Penn State also won the latest matchup in the NCAA Tournament, a 3-1 Opening Round victory back in 2014.
Tuesday's match pits the only two teams in DI-II men's volleyball with 20+ wins this season against each other.
Five of the last seven matches between these two programs have been decided in five sets.
