EUGENE, Ore. – Competition continued Friday on the third day of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the University of Oregon.

Penn State had two representatives compete on the day, as Maddie Holmberg and David Lucas made their returns to the national meet.

David Lucas appeared in his fourth NCAA Outdoor Championship as a Nittany Lion, closing out his accolade-filled collegiate career by earning Second Team All-American honors. The Big Ten discus champion placed 14th in the event with a throw of 55.53m (182-2).

The NCAA Outdoor Championships will conclude on Saturday with two Nittany Lions in competition on the meet's final day. Danae Rivers will look to add one final championship to her resume when she competes in the women's 1500m finals at 6:11 p.m.
