RICHMOND, Va. – The Penn State men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams for the 2021 spring semester Tuesday. The women's team recorded a spring semester grade-point average of 3.62 and the men's team posted a spring semester GPA of 3.43.
To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a GPA of 3.00 or higher over for the spring semester. The Nittany Lion women have achieved a 3.0 GPA for the last 20 consecutive semesters for Scholar All-America team recognition while the men extended their streak of a team GPA of 3.0 or higher to 10-straight semesters.
For spring 2021, 721 programs from 426 institutions earned the Scholar All-America team honor. CSCAA will announce the individuals who have earned Scholar All-America accolades next week.
