Kelly Named a USILA Scholar All-American

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Jack Kelly, a graduate student on the Penn State men's lacrosse team, was named a Scholar All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) on Monday.

Kelly was one of 75 Division I players throughout the country to earn the academic honor and one of just 14 players from the Big Ten to make the list.

After recently graduating with a bachelor's degree in advertising/public relations, Kelly is returning for a fifth year with the Nittany Lions and will pursue a master's degree in management and organizational leadership. He is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

Kelly is a one-time USILA All-American, earning third-team honors while helping Penn State win its first Big Ten regular season and Tournament titles in 2019. He was named an honorable-mention All-American by Inside Lacrosse following the COVID 19-shortened 2020 season.

Through 39 games with the Lions, including 29 as a starter, Kelly has totaled 80 points on 64 goals and 16 assists in addition to 35 ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Kelly has been efficient with his shots throughout his career, scoring his 64 goals with a .454 shot percentage. He posted a .538 shot percentage on 42 goals as a sophomore.

Eighteen Penn State players have earned USILA Scholar All-America honors. Thirteen of those awards were won during current head coach Jeff Tambroni's time with the team, including eight over the past three seasons.
