Dambach Announces Addition of Jennings to Women’s Soccer Program

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State women's soccer head coach Erica Dambach announced the addition of midfielder Jill Jennings to the Nittany Lion roster Monday. Jennings, from Montclair, New Jersey, competed for four years at Boston College from 2017-2021 and will play her final year as a Nittany Lion at Jeffrey Field.

"I couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity to continue my collegiate soccer career at an exceptional program and receive a Master's degree in Management and Organizational Leadership from the Smeal College of Business," Jennings said. "I want to thank Coach Dambach, the entire staff and team for welcoming me into this family. I have the utmost respect for what this program has built and I feel so blessed to be a part it. To play in this environment of excellence alongside a talented group of women is incredibly exciting and I'm looking forward to what we can accomplish this fall!"

Jennings, selected as a team captain as a senior at Boston College, started in 53-straight games in the midfield dating back to her freshman season in 2017. She averaged more than 1,100 minutes on the pitch per season in her four years with the Eagles and had assists on game-winning goals in both her freshman and sophomore campaigns.

"We're excited to welcome Jill into our Penn State women's soccer family! We believe she is a wonderful fit both on the field and, more importantly, with our culture and pillars," said Dambach. "Her experience, high character and leadership qualities will all help to continue to drive the standard of this program to new heights."

Prior to her collegiate career, Jennings earned four letters as a midfielder for Montclair High School and tallied 44 goals and 42 assists. She played club soccer for coach Jordan Raper and Match Fit Academy from 2012-2017.

Jennings was an Eagle teammate with her sister, Kayla, from 2017-19, and current Nittany Lion midfielder Sam Coffey in 2017 and 2018.
