Ament Named Team Captain for PLL All-Star Game

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Former Penn State men's lacrosse great Grant Ament was recently selected as a team captain for the 2021 Premier Lacrosse League All-Star Game. Ament, a member of the Archers, will lead the Adversaries team on July 18 in San Jose, California.

The 22 starters for the All-Star Game were selected by a fan vote. The Adversaries will go up against the Defenders squad, which will be led by Chaos goalie Blaze Riordan. The game will be played at PayPal Park, the home of the San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer.

Fans can watch Ament and the rest of the PLL stars on NBC Sports Network. It's scheduled for a 7 p.m. ET start.

Ament currently leads all PLL players in both points (26) and assists (18). Fans of the Nittany Lions and college lacrosse in general certainly aren't surprised by his production. The 2020 Penn State graduate finished his college career with the sixth-most assists in NCAA history with 191, including an NCAA single-season record 96 while leading the Lions to Big Ten regular season and Tournament titles in 2019. He totaled a Big Ten and program record 284 points during his prolific career.
