University Park, PA. – Penn State Men's Rugby head coach Justin Hundley announced the program's 2021 Fall Schedule Thursday with 7 confirmed matches and the possibility of a 3-game fall playoff in December. The 7-match schedule includes 5 Rugby East opponents and 2 non-conference teams in Ohio State and University of Mary Washington.
The last time the team played a conference match was in November 2019, so the team are excited to be returning a full conference schedule this Fall.
The Season will open 11 September in Washington, DC with the inaugural Sheehy Cup against, former conference opponent, University of Mary Washington. The team will follow that up with two more away contests against Kutztown (25 Sept.) and Army (2 Oct.). Men's Rugby will play their first home contest when they welcome St. Bonaventure to Happy Valley 16 October for Friends and Family weekend.
The Nittany Lions will travel to Ohio State 23 October and follow that up with consecutive Rugby East Conference matches at home, with Notre Dame College (30 Oct) and Navy (6 Nov).
