Penn State Set To Host Villanova For Friday Scrimmage

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State baseball team will host Villanova on Friday for a Fall scrimmage at 7 p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The scrimmage is open to the public and free admission.
 
Penn State returns 24 members from the 2021 squad that won 18 games, playing against exclusively Big Ten opponents. The Nittany Lions welcome 17 newcomers, including four transfers. Penn State's returners include second team All-Big Ten catcher Matt Wood.
 
The Nittany Lions finished the 2021 season with 18 wins, playing against exclusively Big Ten opponents. The wins included a 3-2 victory over No. 18 Michigan on March 26 and a series sweep over Michigan State in which Penn State out-scored the Spartans, 39-13. Penn State scored 10 or more runs in six games, the blue and white's most against Big Ten opponents since 2008 (8) and the most in a season since 2016.
 
Penn State led the Big Ten in doubles (93) and doubles per game (2.21), ranking 11th in the country in doubles per game. The Nittany Lions sat third in the conference in batting average (.269). Penn State hit 34 home runs, its most since 2012, and had five players with four or more homers.

PARKING INFORMATION:
Parking for all Penn State Athletics' non-football events will require a valid permit or payment of the applicable parking fee for campus lots. For Fall baseball games, parking locations will open beginning two hours prior to the start of the game (7 p.m.).

Fans with valid Penn State University Park parking permits will be permitted to park at non-football athletics events for free, following Transportation Services parking policies and access.
 
For Fall baseball games, fans are asked to park in the Jordan East, Stadium West or Porter North lots. Fans without a permit are encouraged to pay for event parking through ParkMobile - https://psu.parkmobile.io/.Prices are $5.50 prepaid through ParkMobile or $10 day-of-event without a valid permit or prepayment. The East Deck is also available for most events for $1 per hour. 

PARKMOBILE PREPAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

  • Visit https://psu.parkmobile.io/medlar-field-lubrano-park
  • Select game
  • Select parking area
  • Enter the license plate information for the vehicle being driven to the event
    • Note: If a different vehicle must be driven than the one registered at purchase, users must contact ParkMobile Member Support through the ParkMobile website or app (Settings – Chat Support) to request a vehicle change for that reservation.
  • Purchase parking for the event
  • Note:
    • Prepayment is required by 11:59 p.m. the night before each event or the day-of-event rate will apply.
    • Guests must present their ParkMobile QR code to event parking staff on their mobile device, if requested. Printed permits from the ParkMobile website will also be accepted.
    • All vehicles must be parked with the license plate facing the drive aisle located closest to the parking space so that payment can be verified by parking enforcement staff.
