Big Ten Sets Tipoff Times, TV Designations for 2021-22 Men’s Basketball

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – At least 26 Penn State men's basketball games will air on national television as the Big Ten announced broadcast designations and tipoff times for a majority of the 2021-22 Nittany Lion contests Tuesday afternoon.
 
Penn State is set to appear on Big Ten Network (BTN), FS1, the ESPN family of networks, CBS Sports Network and NBC Sports Network throughout the regular season. Every televised game on the Big Ten Network and FS1 can be streamed nation-wide via the web, smartphones, tablets and connected devices on the FOX Sports app. Games broadcast by the ESPN family of networks are available through the ESPN App, computers, smartphones, tablets and streaming devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated service provider.
 
Penn State enters its first season under head coach Micah Shrewsberry, and the Shrewsberry era will tip off at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10 against Youngstown State on Big Ten Network.
 
The Nittany Lions' non-conference home game against Cornell on Nov. 22 will also air on Big Ten Network with a 6:30 p.m. start. Other previously announced non-conference television assignments include the Emerald Coast Classic semifinals against LSU on CBS Sports Network (Nov. 26) and Penn State at VCU (Dec. 18) on NBC Sports Network. Penn State hosts Miami (Fla.) on Dec. 1 in the 2021 Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Start times and television designations for the 2021 Big Ten/ACC Challenge will be announced at a later date and will be carried on the ESPN family of networks.
 
Penn State's home non-conference games against St. Francis Brooklyn, Wagner, Quinnipiac and Delaware State will be available to stream on B1G+ and the FOX Sports app, with tipoff times to be announced at a later date.
 
Sixteen of Penn State's Big Ten conference games will air on Big Ten Network, two will air on FS1, and two on either ESPN or ESPN2.
 
Conference play begins on Sunday, Dec. 5 when Penn State hosts Ohio State at 7:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
 
The Nittany Lions' Tuesday, Feb. 8 showdown against Michigan at the Bryce Jordan Center will tip off at 9 p.m. on either ESPN or ESPN2. Penn State's Monday, Feb. 21 road battle at Maryland will also be carried by either ESPN or ESPN2 at either 7 p.m. Penn State has won five of the last six meetings with the Terrapins.
