University Park, PA - On Saturday, 2 October Penn State Men's Rugby will take on Army Rugby at the Anderson Rugby Complex, West Point, NY at 12:00pm.
This match has been over a year in the making. The two teams were slated to play a pre-season friendly in March 2019 when the COVID pandemic struck, forcing the match to be cancelled.
Penn State is coming off 3 wins on the road against UMW, Delaware and most recently Kutztown last weekend. This their final road match is sure to be an exciting affair, Army have started the Fall 2021 campaign strong going undefeated thus far, including two conference wins against Notre Dame College and St. Bonaventure.
The recent matches between the two programs show Penn State in the lead 4-3 out of seven played and many of those contests coming down to 1 point in either direction. We expect another hard-fought match this weekend as both teams look to stake a claim in the Rugby East standings.
