One-Seed Penn State to Face Eight-Seed Michigan State in Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Penn State men's soccer team (10-6-1, 6-2-0 Big Ten) is the 2021 outright Big Ten Regular Season Champions and have therefore earned the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Big Ten Tournament. The Nittany Lions will host No. 8-seed Michigan State in the quarterfinals on Sunday, Nov. 7 at Jeffrey Field, as announced by the conference office Sunday evening.
 


 
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET and will broadcast live on Big Ten Network.
 
During the regular season, Penn State beat Michigan State, 1-0, in East Lansing on a late goal by senior Danny Bloyou.
 
The Nittany Lions won their sixth Big Ten title in program history and first since 2013. It also marks the program's first time being the No. 1 seed since 2013.
 
Penn State is 2-1-1 all-time as the No. 1 seed and has never faced a No. 8 seed in the tournament. Penn State is 7-4-1 all-time against Michigan State in conference tournament play.
