University Park, Pa. - Penn State Swimming & Diving will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina for the three-day N.C. State Invitational, beginning on Thursday and concluding on Saturday in the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center.
Each day, the team will compete in preliminary races at 9:30 a.m. and return for finals at 5.30 p.m. Live results will be available on the Meet Mobile app.
The Nittany Lions go into this mid-season meet after decisive wins against Bloomsburg. Both the men and women's teams swept the meet, winning every individual event and relay on November 6. This weekend, Penn State will face host N.C. State, Duke, Stanford, Arizona State, Army, UNC and JMU.

Women:
The women's team arrives at NC State undefeated. They are led by Junior Courtney Marlin, Sophomore Kylie Rydland and seniors Marie Schobel and Sadie Schumann. Each won a pair on individual events against Bloomsburg.
Rydland swept the breaststroke events, winning the 100 in 1:07.02 and the 200 in 2:24.60 while Marlin led Penn State in the distance freestyle events - taking first in the 1000 (10:11.51) and 500 (5:00.22). Schumann won the 200 IM (2:06.26) and the 100 free (52.44). And Schobel kept her streak of individual backstroke event wins by winning the 200 back (1:57.60). She also won the 100 fly in 55.94.
Men:
The men's team arrives to the weekend-long meet with an overall record of 3-3. They are coming off a strong win against Bloomsburg two weeks ago. Eduardo Oliviera and Andrew Clough stood out in the meet.
Oliviera came in first in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 9:21.37. He also came in first in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:38.44. In the 500 Yard Freestyle, Oliviera came in first with a time of 4:29.45. In the 100 Yard Backstroke, Clough placed first with a time of 51.77. In the 200 Yard Backstroke, he placed first with a time of 1:53.12.

Final exams and winter break training are next for the Nittany Lions. This coming semester, Penn State will open the New Year against Army West Point on Friday, January 7.
