UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Women's Lacrosse team is set to begin the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday, facing No. 3 seed Johns Hopkins at 8 p.m. in the quarterfinal round. Penn State is hosting the entire Big Ten Tournament at Panzer Stadium with every game broadcast on Big Ten Network.
The Nittany Lions, led by Head Coach Missy Doherty, are 4-8 this season. Penn State owns wins over Rutgers (20-11), No. 7 Maryland (15-13), No. 13 Michigan (13-12) and No. 9 Maryland (16-9). Penn State is ranked 18th in the IWLCA Poll.
Penn State will face Johns Hopkins for the third time this season. The previous two games were both tight contests with the Blue Jays winning 13-10 on April 7 and 13-11 on April 18. The Blue Jays are ranked No. 15 in the IWLCA Poll.
