Women's Lacrosse Adds Fifth-Year Transfer Taylor Regan

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Head coach Missy Doherty and the Penn State women's lacrosse program has added fifth-year transfer Taylor Regan to the roster for the upcoming 2021-22 season. The attacker will have immediate eligibility to play for the Nittany Lions.

Regan, a Larchmont, N.Y. native, comes to Happy Valley after spending the previous four years at the University of Virginia as a standout attacker for the Cavaliers.

Over her four-year stint in Charlottesville, Ragan saw action in 47 games and scored 39 goals with 26 assists for 65 points.

Her senior year in 2021 was particularly special, as she netted a personal-best 24 goals to go with 16 helpers. Five of her goals in her senior season were scored on free position chances and she also scooped a career-best 13 ground balls.

She got off to a hot start in the 2020 season with seven goals and 10 points in the Cavaliers' first five games before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In her sophomore season, Regan had four goals and six points through eight games before an injury cut her season short. She tallied nine points with four goals in 16 games her freshman season in 2018.
