Shrewsberry To Throw Out First Pitch At Pirates vs. Phillies Game Saturday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. –
Penn State men's basketball head coach Micah Shrewsberry will throw out the first pitch at a Keystone State battle between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies Saturday evening at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
 
Shrewsberry will take the mound at approximately 6:40 p.m. prior to the 7:05 p.m. start time of the MLB showdown on Penn State night at PNC Park. Penn Staters can purchase tickets through this special ticket offer, with $5 from each ticket purchased benefitting THON. The ticket offer also includes access to a pregame tailgate in the Picnic Park beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, or THON, is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. THON is a year-long effort which raises funds and awareness for the fight against childhood cancer.
 
Saturday night's game will be televised on AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh, NBC Sports Philadelphia and MLB Extra Innings.
