Men
The last time the Nittany Lions met the Hokies was just three months ago and Virginia Tech defeated Penn State with a score of 261 to 90.

The Nittany Lions are coming into this meet after competing in the North Carolina State Invitational in November. In addition, three Nittany Lions traveled to Columbia to compete in the Jr. Pan Am. At the World Championships in December, Vasquez set new national short course records in the 50, 100 and 200 butterfly.

Women
The women return to competition after a strong showing at the NC State Invitational in November and winter training in December and January. They are led by senior Marie Schobel and sophomore Cat Stanford, who swam Penn State's third fastest 200 back time (1:54.41) and fifth fastest 100 free (49.15) at North Carolina. On the boards junior Wei Wei leads the Nittany Lions after placing sixth in the platform dive (183.50) in November.
