UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's golf team returns to the sunshine state for the second-straight weekend when the Nittany Lions compete in Florida's Gators Invitational Saturday and Sunday in Gainesville, Fla.
A 7:45 a.m. shotgun start kicks off tournament action Saturday, before an 8 a.m. shotgun start Sunday at Florida's 70-par, 6,701-yard Mark Bostick Golf Course. Penn State is one of 14 teams in the field of the 54-hole stroke play tournament.
Penn State will be represented by Patrick Sheehan, Lou Olsakovsky, James Allen, Jimmy Meyers and James McHugh at the 2022 Gators Invitational. Allen went 2-0-1 during last weekend's spring-opening Big Ten Match Play event in Palm Coast, Fla. Sheehan looks to continue his momentum from a strong fall season in which he finished with four top-10 finishes in five fall tournaments and a 69.47 stroke average.
The Nittany Lions are set to compete in the Gators Invitational for the third-straight spring. Live scoring is available via GolfStat and a recap and results of each day's rounds will be available on GoPSUSports.com.
