UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State alumna Kristin Schnurr signed a contract with Icelandic Club, FHingar, and will play in the Lengju League this summer.
Schnurr joins the FH program after playing with IFK Kalmar in Sweden last season.
Hailing from Bristow, Va., Schnurr had a lengthy career as a Nittany Lion, battling injuries throughout her six years (2015-21) at Penn State.
She was a member of the 2015 NCAA National Championship team and a member of four Big Ten Championship teams and three Big Ten Tournament Championship teams.
The former PSU forward was also a four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
In 2018, during her redshirt junior season, Schnurr led the Nittany Lions in goals scored (8) while adding three assists to tie with Frankie Tagliaferri and Kerry Abello for most points scored that season (19).
Schnurr totaled 11 goals and 6 assists in 58 games played during her collegiate career.
Schnurr graduated with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a master's in Education.
