Penn State Women’s Fencing Sweeps at Duke Dual Series

University Park, Pa. -  The Nittany Lion women's fencing team concluded competitions today at Duke University against Duke, North Carolina, Brandeis, Air Force, Johns Hopkins,  Boston College, and Temple. 

Penn State won against Brandeis 21-6, Duke 15-12, Air Force 22-6, Boston College 21-6, and UNC 16-11. 

Against Brandeis, Penn State won 5 saber, 8 foil, and 8 epee bouts. In round 2, Penn State won 3 saber,  5 foil, and 7 epee bouts versus Duke. Against the Air Force Academy, Penn State won 6 saber,  9 foil, and 7 epee bouts. Later, when competing against Boston College, Penn State won 6 saber,  9 foil, and 6 epee bouts. Finally, against the University of North Carolina, Penn State won 4 saber, 5 foil, and 7 epee bouts.

The Nittany Lions will be back in action Feb. 18-21 at the Junior Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
