Jaroh Named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State's Michael Jaroh was named the Big Ten Men's Gymnast of the Week on Monday, earning the award for the first time this season and the second time of his career. The sophomore was a two-event winner in the Nittany Lions' meet at Nebraska on Saturday.
 
Jaroh finished first on rings with a score of 14.35 and on high bar with a score of 13.85. He added a fourth-place finish on parallel bars. His score on rings was a personal best and tied for the nation's highest mark of the season.
 
Penn State has won two Big Ten Gymnast of the Week awards this season. Sophomore Ethan Dick received the honor on Jan. 24 after his performance at the Navy Open.
 
Up next for the Lions is the Winter Cup in Frisco, Texas on Feb. 25-27.
