Penn State Softball Announces Changes To Weekend Schedule

University Park, Pa. – The Penn State softball team announced changes Thursday afternoon regarding the schedule for this weekend's Penn State Softball Invitational at Nittany Lion Softball Park and Beard Field.
 
The Nittany Lions will now play two games on Friday. Penn State and Cornell will play at 2:30 p.m. followed by Penn State and Rider at 5 p.m. Before the Rider game, the Nittany Lions will recognize the seniors from the class of 2020.
 
Cornell and UMass Lowell will open the day earlier than originally scheduled, with first pitch between those two teams set for noon on Friday.
 
Penn State will play one game on Saturday against UMass Lowell. That game is slated for 3:30 p.m. To round out Saturday, Cornell and Rider will match up at 1 p.m. and UMass Lowell and Rider will play at 6 p.m.
 
Sunday's schedule remains unchanged. Cornell and UMass Lowell open the day at 10 a.m. before Rider and UMass Lowell meet at 12:30 p.m. Penn State ends the weekend with a 3 p.m. game against Cornell before the Nittany Lions' last game against Rider at 5:30 p.m. All teams are scheduled to play five games over the course of the weekend.
