Team Continues Playoff Preparation on West Coast

University Park, PA - Thursday March 17, 2022, Penn State Women return from spring break energized for spring playoffs.

The women's rugby team sought out warmer climates over spring break and took off for the West coast to enjoy LA and San Diego weather while continuing to prepare for the D1 Elite National Semi finals on April 16th versus Lindenwood.

The small roster of players flew into LA and enjoyed some beach rugby in Santa Monica before heading down to Ocean Beach in San Diego for training, an MLR game and a joint practice with UCSD. On Tuesday the 8th the team traveled up to Santa Barbara to take on UCSB, defeating the Gauchos 93-0 before departing back to State College.

The team concluded their springbreak in State College with a scrimmage in Penn State's indoor turf facility Holuba Hall vs NYRC Women's WPL side on Saturday evening May 12th at 7pm.  The very physical match went to NYRC 32-12.

The team enjoys a bye weekend before returning to national playoff prep with a game vs NOVA women on March 26th at 2pm at West fields.
