UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State men's soccer head coach Jeff Cook announced the addition of Quentin Flowers to the program on Wednesday.
Flowers is a 5'11 central defensive midfielder from Nashville, Tennessee who is in his senior year at Pickerington North High School in Columbus, Ohio. He previously attended Nashville Christian School where he was named MVP in 2018.
His club experience includes two years with the Columbus Crew Academy and three years with the Nashville United Soccer Academy.
From 2020 to present, Flowers has been a member of the Columbus Crew Academy (MLS Next and Crew II (U23). He played in U17 and U19 MLS Next and in all 12 of the Crew II (U23 games). He was selected to train with the Columbus Crew first team five times while in the academy.
Prior to Columbus, Flowers played with the Nashville United Soccer Academy from 2018-20. He served as a team captain when the team became state finalists playing up an age group. He was selected to the ODP All State Team and the ODP All Region Team Region III (IMG, Bradenton, FL).
He was also one of four players Invited to train with the Nashville SC USL team and was invited to guest play with The Darlington Academy at the Disney Boys Soccer Showcase in Orlando, Florida.
Flowers said he chose Penn State because, "I want to be in an environment where I can excel academically and grow as an athlete. When I visited the campus, Penn State felt like a great environment. All of the staff were welcoming, and there was an exciting energy throughout the campus."
Flowers plans to major in business and after college work in the corporate real estate industry.
