Colleton River Collegiate Day 1 Results
BLUFFTON, S.C. – Graduate student Lou Olsakovsky is currently tied for 12th place after the first 36 holes to lead the Penn State men's golf team after day one at the Colleton River Collegiate.
The Nittany Lions saw a six-stroke improvement in the second round after shooting a 12-over, 300 in the opening round. Penn State rebounded with a 6-over, 294, in the afternoon round. The Nittany Lions enter Tuesday's final 18 holes in 13th place of the 15-team field.
Olsakovsky leads Penn State and is tied for 12th place after finishing the day at 2-under, 142. Olsakovsky fired a 2-over, 74, in the opening round before shooting an impressive 4-under, 68, with six birdies in Monday's second round.
Sophomore James Allen currently sits tied for 33rd after wrapping up the day at 3-over, 147. Allen shot a 2-over, 74, in the first 18 and a 1-over, 73, in the second round.
Juniors Patrick Sheehan and Jimmy Meyers are both currently tied for 59th after finishing the opening 36 holes at 9-over, 153. Freshman Morgan Lofland sits in 69th place at 12-over, 156.
