UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's lacrosse team will host No. 19 Michigan on Saturday, April 16. First draw is scheduled for 1 p.m., and the contest will be steamed live on B1G+.
Before the game, the program will recognize and celebrate the playing careers of five Nittany Lions, fifth years Kate Love and Taylor Regan, as well as seniors, Sloane Dowgiallo, Sydney Wolfington, Erin Triandafils and Mary Muldoon. Team Impact athlete, Abby Mariano, will also be recognized.
Senior Day is presented by the Penn State Alumni Association.

SERIES HISTORY
• Penn State leads 5-3 in the all-time series vs. UM since their first matchup in 2014.
• Penn State split with then No. 13 UM last season, falling 9-12 in game one but taking game two, 13-12 in overtime.
• Last season, in the series vs. UM, Kristin O'Neill accounted for six goals and one assist.
ABOUT THE NITTANY LIONS
• Penn State (6-6, 0-3 B1G) returns to conference action following a 15-7 win over Pitt on Tuesday. The victory snapped a four-game skid for the Nittany Lions.
• The Nittany Lions had a hat-trick of hat-tricks against Pitt as grad transfer Taylor Regan, sophomore Kristin O'Neill and junior Meghan Murray each netted three goals.
• Against Pitt, Regan tallied six points, tying her season high she last set at Cornell. Regan now has 99 career points, 65 in four years playing for Virginia and 34 so far in one season at PSU.
• PSU looks to claim their first Big Ten win of the season after falling to Ohio State, No. 3 Northwestern and No. 9 Maryland.
• O'Neill leads the Lions with 30 goals. She has ten multi-goal games this year. She also has a team best 38 points and 18 caused turnovers.
• Junior Kara Nealon has a team-best 20 assists.
• Sophomore Kayla Abernathy has won a team-best 52 draw controls.
• Freshman Ashley Bowan has started between the pipes in the last nine games. She has a .411 save percentage.
PSU STATISTICAL RANKINGS
• PSU is fourth in the nation and second in the Big Ten in fewest turnovers per game (11.1).
• PSU is 11th in the nation and third in the Big Ten in clearing percentage (.918).
SCOUTING THE WOLVERINES
• Michigan (9-5, 1-3 B1G) enters the contest on a four-game skid.
• In Big Ten play, UM has fallen to Rutgers, Northwestern and Ohio State. Their lone league win was a 9-7 defeat of Johns Hopkins.
• The Maize and Blue are 6-1 on the road. They started the season with seven straight wins.
• UM most recently fell 7-9 to Ohio State. The Buckeyes shutout the Wolverine's top season scorers, Kaley Thompson (26 goals) and Kaitlyn Mead (22 goals).
• Substitutes Clair Galvin and Jill Smith accounted for five of UM's seven goals vs. OSU.
• Starting goalie senior Arielle Weissman is sixth in the nation and second in the league in save percentage (.510). She averages 7.43 saves per game.
MICHIGAN STATISTICAL RANKINGS
• Michigan is ranked No. 9 nationally and first in the Big Ten in free-position percentage (.514).
• The Wolverines are ranked No. 8 nationally and second in the conference in scoring defense, conceding 8.64 goals per game.

• On March 15, Kristin O'Neill earned Big Ten Midfielder of the Week honors after combining for 10 points in wins over No. 21 James Madison and Saint Joseph's.
• On March 1, Brooke Hoss earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors after combining for six goals in wins at Duquesne and Cornell.
• Senior Mary Muldoon and junior Rachel Spilker were elected captains for the 2022 season.
• Grad transfer Taylor Regan and sophomores Sammy Dupcak and Kristin O'Neill were named Big Ten Players to Watch.
• 2021's Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Kristin O'Neill, was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
• Head Coach Missy Doherty is in her 12th season leading the Nittany Lions.
• Doherty notched her 200th career victory following the Lions' Feb. 23 win at Duquesne.
• The team returned 22 players while adding one graduate transfer and seven freshmen.
