Seven Nittany Lions set for USATF and Canadian Championships

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Seven Penn State track and field student-athletes will represent the Nittany Lions on the national stage this weekend. The Nittany Lions will send athletes to both the USATF Outdoor Championships and USATF U20 Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., as well as the Canadian Track and Field Championships in Langley, British Columbia, Thursday through Sunday.
 
Tyler Merkley and Rachel Gearing will represent Penn State at the USATF Outdoor Championships, while Collin Burkhart and Jonathan Petersen will compete in the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships. Olivier Desmeules, Victoria Tachinski and Chloe Royce are each set to compete in the Canadian Track and Field Championships.
