RICHMOND, Va. – Penn State men's and women's swimming and diving were named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams for the 2022 spring semester, the organization announced Monday. The women earned the award for the 22nd-straight semester with a GPA of 3.47, and the men earned the honor for the 12th time in a row with a 3.4 GPA.
CSCAA Executive Director said, "Coach Tim Murphy has set the standard for academic excellence on this team."
For the spring, 731 teams from 441 institutions were selected to the Scholar All-America Team. To be a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a GPA of 3.00 or higher for the semester.
