Men’s Soccer Announces Fall 2022 Schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's soccer team and fifth-year head coach Jeff Cook announced its full 2022 schedule Wednesday afternoon.
 
The slate is highlighted by nine home games at Jeffrey Field and 16 total contests.

Penn State officially opens the 2022 season by hosting Rhode Island on Thursday, Aug. 25 right before their first road match on Sunday, Aug. 28 at Syracuse.
 
The Nittany Lions return home to face West Virginia on Friday, Sept. 2 then travel to George Mason for a Labor Day match on Monday, Sept. 5.

The Blue & White will then have a three-game home stand at Jeffrey Field as they reach the halfway mark of the season. Penn State will host Princeton on Friday, Sept. 9, Lehigh on Monday, Sept. 12.
 
The reigning Big Ten champs will then kickoff Big Ten play with Wisconsin on Friday, Sept. 16.
 
Big Ten action continues Tuesday, Sept. 20 as the Nittany Lions travel to Maryland.
 
Next, PSU will take a short break from conference action to host Akron on Sunday, Sept. 25 and make a road trip to Villanova on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
 
The Nittany Lions then resume the rest of their Big Ten schedule by remaining on the road to visit Northwestern on Sunday, Oct. 2.
 
It is back to Jeffrey Field on Friday, Oct. 7 for a game against Michigan State before another road trip to Indiana on Friday, Oct. 14.
 
Your last chance to catch the Nittany Lions at home during the regular season happens at the end of October as PSU plays host to Ohio State on Friday, Oct. 21 and Rutgers on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

The regular season concludes on the road at Michigan on Sunday, Oct. 30.

Prior to the start of the regular season, Penn State will play two exhibition games. The first will be at Georgetown on Friday, Aug. 12 before Bucknell comes up the road during preseason on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Kickoff times will be announced at a later date as all times and dates are subject to change with the TV schedule to come.
