RICHMOND, Va. – Penn State men's and women's swimming and diving had nine female and seven male athletes named to the Scholar All-American by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced Wednesday. Four earned first-team honors: Lachlan Byrne (3.9 GPA), Michael Daly (3.8), Daniel Raisanen (3.8) and Marie Schobel (4.0).
The women's team had eight selected to the second-team: Abbie Amdor (3.7 GPA), Molly Carson (4.0), Maddie Cooke (3.8), Emma Harvey (3.9), Liv Jack (3.6), Madison Ledwith (3.7), Madison Murtagh (3.6) and Cat Stanford (3.7). Four men garnered second-team spots: Devon Chenot (3.8), Ben Doyle (3.9), Eduardo Moraes (3.5), and William Roberson (3.7).
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes had to have earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participated in their national championship. Second-team selections also notched a 3.5 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
