NEW ORLEANS - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its NCAA Division I All-Academic Athletes for the 2022 season, and both Penn State men's and women's track and field teams were recognized as All-Academic Teams for the season.
In addition to both teams receiving All-Academic Team honors, Penn State had 22 student-athletes receive individual All-Academic Athlete honors, with 15 on the women's team and seven on the men's squad.
In order to be named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, squads must record a cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
Penn State's women's team accumulated a 3.34 GPA and the men's team gathered a 3.14 GPA.
Individual All-Academic honorees recorded a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
