UNIVERSITY PARK, PA.- Junior forward Peter Mangione adds another accolade to his resume with his selection to the MAC Hermann Award Trophy Watch List as announced by United Soccer Coaches on Thursday, Aug. 25.
Mangione joins 37 other NCAA Men's Division I college soccer players on this prestigious list. The Hermann Trophy, presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club, is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by the voting of Division I coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches.
The Maryland native collected several awards last season including Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, first team All-North Region, and All-Big ten First Team. This season he has been selected as a Big Ten Player to Watch as well as a United Soccer Coaches Forward to Watch.
The semifinalists for the award will be announced on Nov. 30 and the top three will be selected on Dec. 7. The winner of the 2022 Mac Hermann Trophy will be revealed on Jan. 6, 2023, at a ceremony at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis, Mo.
