WINTHROP, Mass. – The Penn State women's hockey series at Lindenwood scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 21-22, has been canceled and will not be rescheduled due to positive COVID-19 results within the Lindenwood program.
The health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and the broader community are of the utmost importance.
Because the cancelation of this series will result in an imbalance in the number of conference games played by each school, the CHA will determine its final standings and playoff seeds using percentage of points won in each series. The CHA standings will reflect this change for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. The move to points percentage in the event of a game imbalance was approved by the CHA membership earlier this season.
Penn State's next series is scheduled for Jan. 28-29 against Mercyhurst at Pegula Ice Arena.
