Lobdell Captures CHA Defensive Player of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass.- Penn State defenseman Lyndie Lobdell earned College Hockey America Defensive Player of the Week honors as announced by the league on Monday. This is the first weekly honor Lobdell has received this season.

The junior tallied her first goal of the season on Saturday in the Nittany Lions 2-1 loss to Colgate. She also recorded three blocks in the game as well.

The Aurora, Ill. native is the first Nittany Lion defenseman to score a goal this season. Lobdell is now 6-22-28 in 60 games played in her career.

Lobdell is the third Nittany Lion to receive a conference award this season as Courtney Correia and Tessa Janecke each have scored CHA weekly honors this season.
