Lobdell and Bothun Score CHA Weekly Awards

WINTHROP, Mass.- The Penn State Nittany Lions scored two College Hockey America weekly awards on Monday as goalie Josie Bothun was named Goaltender of the Week while defenseman Lyndie Lobdell captured Defensive Player of the Week honors. 
 
Lobdell tallied two assists alongside six blocks during the two games against No. 14/15 ranked Boston College. She also fired off four shots. This is Lobdell's second straight Defensive Player of the Week honor. On the year, Lobdell has tallied one goal alongside two assists. 
 
Bothun had a solid two games in net picking up one win alongside 49 saves between the pipes. The junior netminder tallied a GAA of 1.92 and a save percentage of .925. This is Bothun's first weekly award nod. This season, Bothun has recorded a 3-4-1 record with a save percentage of .914 and GAA of 2.67. 
 
Lobdell and Bothun are the fourth and fifth Nittany Lions to receive a conference award this season as Courtney Correia and Tessa Janecke are the two other Nittany Lions who have scored CHA weekly honors this season.
