LINCOLN, Neb. — The No. 24 Penn State women's soccer program fell 4-2 at Nebraska on Thursday.
The loss snapped a three-match streak by the Nittany Lions who had not conceded a goal since Oct. 2.
The Nittany Lions could not overcome a rough first half where they conceded four goals after a slew of miscues.
PSU out-shot the Cornhuskers 19 to ten led by senior+ Penelope Hocking who made a season high seven shots all on goal.
Redshirt senior Ally Schlegel scored both Nittany Lion goals with Hocking assisting on both. Junior Ellie Wheeler was also credited with an assist.
The loss brings Penn State to 10-4-2 overall and 5-3-1 in Big Ten play. Nebraska moves to 7-5-5 on the season and 5-2-2 in the league.
Next, PSU plays its final game of the regular season at Iowa on Sunday, Oct. 23 with a 2 pm kickoff.
