WINTHROP, Mass. -- Penn State fifth-year transfer Courtney Correia was chosen as the CHA Forward of the Week for her individual performance this weekend, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Correia tallied three goals for her first career hat trick and posted her seventh NCAA career game-winning goal in Penn State's matchup versus St. Lawrence on Saturday. She helped lead the Nittany Lions to their first win over the Saints in program history. In her career, Correia is now 35-34-69 in 120 games played.
The fifth-year transfer currently ranks first in the CHA alongside junior forward Kiara Zanon with four points and is tied for third nationally with three goals on the year. Her hat trick on Saturday was the first by a Penn State player since Olivia Wallin's on Feb. 11, 2022, versus LIU.
Correia is the second Nittany Lion to receive a conference award this season after freshman Tessa Janeke was named Rookie of the Week on Sept. 26.
