COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- 2020 graduate of Penn State's men's gymnastics program Stephen Nedoroscik is one of five athletes selected for the United States World Championship Team. Nedoroscik, along with the rest of the team, will compete at the World Championship in Liverpool, England in November.
Nedoroscik is the defending pommel horse 2021 World Champion. He was the first American to win a medal on pommel horse with his historic victory last year. He will have a chance to defend his title at the 2022 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, which will run October 29 - November 6 at M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England.
The Worcester, Mass. native becomes the first individual event specialist to make a World Championship Team. He clinched a spot on the squad at World Trials in Colorado Springs, Colo. this weekend with a combined score on pommel horse of 29.550 from both days.
